Nancy Romano will step down at the end of this year as CEO of Fox Studios Australia after seven years in the post and 13 years with the studio.
“It has been a difficult decision for me to make after being here for so long; however it is time for me to try something new,” Romano said in an email to industry friends and contacts.
Her boss, Hal Haenel, general manager of Fox Studio Operations in Los Angeles, said Romano and her husband have decided to return home to Melbourne.
“Nancy’s service, loyalty and commitment has seen our company succeed, grow and develop and Nancy’s leadership is a major contribution to our successes and her loss will be felt across the business,“ Haenel said.
“We will be working closely with Nancy to manage the appointment of her successor as well as her transition through to 31 December and as such, we will keep you informed of our progress over the next couple of months.”
Romano joined the Fox Studios as Finance Manager in 2000 and later served as Commercial Manager and Operations and Commercial Manager.
