Dream Life is a cryptic family drama set in a modern gothic suburbia.
With pounds of mystery, a touch of fairytale and a hint of black comedy, Dream Life creates a world of its own that will spark the viewer’s imagination and have them hooked from start to finish.
Dream Life shoots with an impeccable cast lineup – starring the rising talent of Xavier Samuel (Newcastle, September), and one of Australia’s leading and best loved actresses Sigrid Thornton as Mrs Buchanan (Sea Change, The Man From Snowy River I & II, The Lighthorsemen, The Boy In The Bush, The Far Country amongst others). The cast includes Linda Cropper (The Pacific, Wildside, Eden’s Lost), Rhondda Findleton (Love My Way, Grass Roots), Andrew Mcfarlane (The Alice, Day of the Roses), Ashleigh Cummings (Razzle Dazzle), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Martha’s New Coat, Mcleod’s Daughters), and Adelaide Clemens (The Pacific, Love My Way, Wolverine).
Key crew on-board for the shoot include director of photography Oliver Lawrence, production designer Virginia Mesiti, costume designers Sally Sharpe and Alex Locke, casting director Kirsty Mcgregor and editor Stuart Reeves. Dan Luscombe (Jindabyne) of The Drones fame is composing the score.
Dream Life will premiere on MTV in late 2008. The drama has been created with a future series in mind.
Filming will take place on the north shore and surrounds of suburban Sydney from Monday 11th August.
