Shot on his family’s farm just outside Wagga Wagga and based on Alston’s experiences of growing up on a farm, “Change Coming” is a real family affair with the film starring Mark’s sister Megan while his father Phil also gets a cameo role.
This year, Cinemas in Australia are being added to the Festival long roster of venues that also include venues in North & South America as well as Europe. “We add a continent each year” said Festival’s founding director Nicholas Mason who comes from Sydney Australia. The goal of the festival is to bring the world together for one week via twelve short films from around the world. Mark’s film gives us a glimpse into farming life in Australia, and the stress that it can put on relationships. It’s beautifully shot and the film most definitely compliments the show” added Mason
