Matthew Rankin's cross-cultural comedy 'Universal Language' has taken out this year's $140,000 Bright Horizons prize at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
There's a distinctly Antipodean bent to this year's IFFR, from the work of managing director Clare Stewart and selection committee member Michelle Carey, through to last week's opening night film 'Head South', and other selections such as 'Flathead' and 'Paragon'.
