With NSW reopening for the fully vaccinated, Sydney Film Festival is set to finally go ahead, with a line-up that director Nashen Moodley believes is one the most diverse and exciting in the event's 68-year history.
Claude Gonzalez and Frans Vandenburg have been following the stranger-than-fiction life of filmmaker John Farrow, father of Mia, for over 10 years. Born in 1904 in Marrickville, Sydney, John Farrow's curious story ranges from fleeing Australia at age 17 to penning a Tahitian French Dictionary, winning an Oscar for 'Around the World in 80 Days', and marrying the glamorous Hollywood star Maureen O'Sullivan.
Voting for this year's AACTA Awards will look a little different, with the organisation to broaden the voting powers of general members and stagger voting rounds by category throughout the year.
