Australia has made a strong showing among the nominees for the 2017 Golden Globes, with 'Lion' nominated across four categories and 'Hacksaw Ridge' three.
Geoffrey Rush, Rose Byrne and George Miller will be among those presenting at the 6th AACTA Awards in Sydney next week.
Actor Benedict Hardie has roles in two of the starriest local productions of the year – Hacksaw Ridge and The Light Between Oceans. Both films hit Aussie cinemas on November 3.
The supporting cast is made up entirely of emerging local actors including Ryan Corr, Luke Pegler, Ben Mingay, Firass Dirani, Nico Cortez, Harry Greenwood, Milo Gibson and Nathaniel Buzolic.
