2009's The Hangover was one of the most widely-talked about comedies in a long time.
Directed by Todd Phillips and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the $US35 million movie – which won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) – made a killing at the box office making more than $US277 million in the US alone. In Australia, it made $21.4 million.
Now back for a second bite of the cherry, the second film follows Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) as they travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding.
After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined.
The Warner Bros. film is set for release in Australia on May 26, 2011.
