Sydney film Next Door To The Velinskys will make its international debut at the upcoming Shanghai International Film Festival.
The film, by writer/director Darren Hawkins and writer/producer Chloe Traicos, will be among more than 200 selected international films at the festival, which runs from June 11-19.
Shot for $300,000, Next Door To The Velinskys is a very confrontational story that covers the forbidden subject of incest and child abuse.
The film is shot by Christopher McHardy and is edited by JD Cohen.
