Press release from 2009 Samsung Mobile AFI Awards
The 2009 Samsung Mobile AFI Awards were celebrated on Saturday night in a ceremony at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre. Over 1,000 members of the film and television industry attended the lavish black tie event, which was hosted by Julia Zemiro and broadcast on the Nine Network.
The 2009 Samsung Mobile AFI Industry Awards presented by Digital Pictures were also held at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on Friday night. In a year hailed as a milestone for Australian film, over 600 members of the Australian film and television industry attended the event which was hosted by Josh Lawson.
Both nights recognised the talent and innovation of artists working in the Australian film and television industry.
