Press release from Ai-Media
Ai-Media today announced the expansion of its stenographic captioning resources to service growing demand from television broadcasters and clients in the public and private sectors.
Ai-Media has acquired specialist service provider RipperReporters and appointed the company’s founder, Denise Lamont, as Head of Ai-Media Stenocaptioning.
Ai-Media CEO Tony Abrahams also announced a new recruitment drive for stenocaptioners to boost the firm’s resources in this key area.
“Demand is growing for captioning as multi-channel television broadcasting expands and existing channels increase captioning levels”, Mr Abrahams said, “Ai-Media is positioned to deliver competitive, high-quality, high-volume captioning for broadcasters across subscription and free-to-air television”.
Mr Abrahams said the corporate, health, legal and education sectors were also emerging as strong growth areas for quality captioning and transcription services.
“Denise Lamont is one the most experienced, best qualified and well respected stenocaptioners in Australia. Her leadership of this key division complements Ai-Media’s existing strengths in live re-speaking and pre-recorded services”, Mr Abrahams said.
“We are also looking for other qualified stenocaptioners to join us. We have positions based at our North Ryde, Sydney headquarters, and opportunities to work from home. We also welcome expressions of interest from quality contractors with their own facilities to work with us across a range of initiatives.”
Ms Lamont this week will head Ai-Media’s captioning team covering key sessions of the ASTRA subscription television conference and the Women in Television breakfast on Thursday 18 March.
