Fiona Chilton is set to depart Animal Logic to take up a new role as head of production at Method Studios, Sydney.

Chilton will report to Method’s Sydney GM Jeannette Manifold, and will be responsible for leading all feature film VFX productions in Sydney, guiding the artist/producer teams and building the studio’s roster of talent.

Deluxe integrated its VFX companies Iloura and Method under the Methods Studios banner in February. The company has a network of facilities in LA, Vancouver, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Chicago, Atlanta and Pune, India.

Manifold said: “It’s an exciting time for Fiona to come on board in Sydney as the team in Australia is expanding rapidly and we’ve just come together as one brand with Method Studios. She’s an exceptional team builder and problem solver and we’re excited to have her experience and leadership as a key part of our team.”

Chilton has more than 25 feature credits under her belt, including associate producer on The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and VFX producer/EP roles on Ted, Ted 2, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Iron Man and Happy Feet.

Prior to her most recent role at Animal Logic, Chilton had worked for Framestore/CFC, Tippet Studios, The Orphanage and Universal Pictures.

Chilton said: “I’ve had amazing experiences working with these teams in Australia – they’re well recognised in the industry for doing fantastic work. Being part of Method is a new beginning for the company and it gives clients so many more options to shape their shows around locations and skill sets. There’s so much talent and passion here in the Sydney studio, I’m excited to dive in.”
