Film Victoria appoints new General Manager for its Melbourne Film Office

Film Victoria Acting CEO, Jane Watson, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsten Badcock as General Manager of Film Victoria’s Melbourne Film Office.
Ms. Badcock has been in a key marketing position with the Melbourne Film Office for more than three years. During this time she has played a significant role in building a thriving Victorian screen industry.
Kirsten developed and implemented Film Victoria’s ‘Film Melbourne Now’ international marketing campaign, which received multiple awards at the Association of Film Commission’s International Marketing Awards in 2006, and was a finalist at the Melbourne Awards in 2007.
‘Kirsten’s extensive experience in strategic marketing will no doubt enhance Victoria’s strengths as a leading production destination. Her exposure to diverse industries including film and television, not-for-profit, pharmaceutical and financial services has provided Kirsten with a broad knowledge base that will greatly assist the Melbourne Film Office in meeting its strategic goals,’ stated Ms Watson.
Ms Badcock said, ‘It’s an exciting time for the state’s film and television industry. Local productions, Romulus, My Father and Rogue as well as international projects such as The Pacific, have put the spotlight on Victoria as a world-class production destination.’

Ms. Badcock commences her new role immediately.
