Anna Karenina to open St George OpenAir Cinema season

St.George OpenAir Cinema is thrilled to announce 2013 season will be launched on 10 January with the Sydney premiere of the beautiful Anna Karenina,  directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice) and starring Academy Award® nominee Keira Knightley, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Adapted from Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel by Academy Award® winner Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love), Anna Karenina tells the story of the of an aristocratic woman, who is prepared to risk family, wealth and social standing, in return for true love.

The story unfolds in the late 19th Century Russia high-society and powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart, from the passion between adulterers to the bond between a mother and her children.

As Anna (Keira Knightley) questions her happiness, change comes to her friends, family and community.

From 10 January to 16 February 2013, St.George OpenAir Cinema returns to the stunning setting at Mrs Macquaries Point, Sydney, with tickets on sale from 9am on Thursday 13 December 2012.

The full 2013 program will be available from Friday 7 December.
