The Independent Spirit IF Award recognises an individual or a team of no
more than three key creatives who, despite limited resources and/or challenging
circumstances, have demonstrated the creativity, tenacity and independence of
vision required to make a compelling project of any medium. The winner will
receive a swag of prizes: $12,000 worth of post-production services courtesy of
The LaB sydney, the 2008 Production Book and a 12-month membership to the IF
Club.
The Atlab IF Award For Rising Talent is presented to a talented
up-and-coming short filmmaker of singular vision who may not as yet have
received appropriate recognition. This highly contended award will be given out
at the 9th annual Inside Film Awards, held in Queensland on the 16th of
November 2007 and broadcast on SBS, with delayed telecasts on SHOWTIME.
The ZTudio What IF? Award for Best Unproduced Screenplay aims to
discover a writer and script with enormous potential. We are looking for
screenwriters who have been enthusiastic and proactive in getting their script
developed, but have not yet been successful in getting it to the screen. The
winner will be flown to the destination of their choice anywhere in the world
to meet key film industry personnel including agents, producers and creative
execs to pitch their script.
