RealD extends deals with Village, AHL

RealD Inc. announced today that it has extended its license of 3D systems to Village Cinemas, one of the world’s leaders in providing state-of-the-art entertainment experiences, as well as Australia’s premier entertainment and hospitality and leisure company, Amalgamated Holdings Limited.

The deal will utilise RealD 3D Cinema Systems across Village Cinema screens in Australia, with a long-term partnership having already been in place since 2005.

The deal with AHL will also see brands including Event, BCC Cinemas and Greater Union utilizing RealD 3D Cinema Systems across 445 screens in Australia and New Zealand, as part of a long-term partnership that has been in place since 2009 across the AHL.

RealD is the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology with approximately 26,000 auditoriums equipped with RealD 3D by approximately 1,000 exhibitors in 73 countries around the world (as of September 30, 2014).
