A who’s who of the small screen – representing two decades of Australian subscription television – will take to the stage in Sydney on Thursday March 12 to present the 2015 ASTRA Awards.
Announcing the award winners will be stars ranging from Jennifer Hawkins to Eddie McGuire and from Antonia Kidman to Robert Irwin (son of the late Steve Irwin).
Hosting the 2015 ASTRA Awards ceremony will be entertainment journalist and television personality Giuliana Rancic. As anchor of E! News, Giuliana has been on the red carpet for every mega-event in the entertainment industry including the Oscars, Grammy Awards and Golden Globes.
Giuliana will also present the final award for the evening: the coveted 2015 ASTRA Channel of the Year Award, being contested by six channels this year.
Other award presenters include Foxtel newcomer Margaret Pomeranz, Coast Australia’s Neil Oliver, Devil’s Playground’s Don Hany, Wentworth’s Danielle Cormack, Banished’s Ryan Corr, E!’s Ksenija Lukich and A Place to Call Home’s Marta Dusseldorp and Noni Hazlehurst.
Memorable reunions on the night will include the on-screen father and daughter duo from Love My Way, actors Dan Wyllie and Alex Cook, co-presenting an award.
SKY NEWS commentators, former Federal Minister Peter Reith and former Queensland Premier Peter Beattie, will also team up on the night to present an ASTRA.
For the first time since the ASTRA Awards started in 2002, a one-off Industry Contribution Award will be given out.
Highlight packages of the 2015 ASTRA Awards will screen on most Foxtel channels on the night from 7.30pm AEDT with coverage including red carpet arrivals and winners receiving their awards. At 9pm, Paul Murray will anchor his show Paul Murray Live from the awards on SKY NEWS Live.
