AFTRS Open Day is a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes, both at AFTRS and in TV, film and radio. All of the school’s studios will be 'live' including the radio studios, TV studio and control room, the foley sound studio and the sound mix theatre. See what is really like to make film, television, multi platform and radio productions and hear from current students and AFTRS’ teaching staff who all highly experienced industry professionals.
Some current students from the 2015 first intake of the new Bachelor of Arts (Screen) degree will share their experiences, and there will be course taster sessions, screenings, hands-on VFX demonstrations including green screen technology, panel discussions and dedicated information sessions on courses and preparing your
The AFTRS library (which holds Australia's biggest collection of screen and broadcast resources) will be open and holding its famous annual book sale. The Student Centre will also be open to answer questions about FEE-HELP and submitting applications for 2016.
In 2016 AFTRS will deliver short courses, technical diplomas and advanced diplomas as well as its comprehensive Bachelor and Masters degrees.
It's a great day out for both potential future students and the general public alike, with free coffee cart all day. For those unable to attend on the day, key sessions will be streamed live on Twitter’s periscope app and on the AFTRS website.
