Animal Logic’s team of digital artists were honoured at the New York Festivals International Advertising Awards recognising the very best production crafts in the advertising industry. At a ceremony held in Shanghai China, Animal Logic received a Silver World Medal in the Art and Technique – Special Effects category for its work on the Subaru television commercial ‘Crowd’.
In addition, a Finalist Certificate was awarded for the stunning spot ‘Pure’ promoting Australian Beer, James Boag’s Pure Tasmanian Lager.
This latest accolade follows a string of wins at recent advertising festivals including two Bronze CLIO awards for the Kaiser Permanente ‘Emerald Cities’ spot and for the Honda Jazz commercial ‘Imagination’.
Kaiser Permanente ‘Emerald Cities’ was also recognised at the Visual Effects Society awards for its outstanding matte paintings. In addition, Animal Logic’s work on the HBO ‘Imagine’ integrated campaign was recently acknowledged at the AICP Next awards and the Art Directors Club awards held in May.
For Subaru’s ‘Crowd’ Animal Logic followed Revolver’s Steve Rogers and agency Leo Burnett, Sydney into the streets of Kiev to help carry out their vision. To demonstrate the work that goes into each Subaru, the film depicted their customers riding upon the shoulders of Subaru employees. From parking lots, to rainy streets, and country dirt roads, the film takes us through the variety of conditions that make Subaru's all wheel drive so successful.
Animal Logic teamed up with Revolver and agency Publicis Mojo to promote James Boag’s Pure Tasmanian Lager and bring a surreal vision of Australia’s wilderness to the screen. From the first creative brief it was obvious this spot for Boag’s would be something different. Crows turn into moths in a blink of the eye. A forest of gum trees twist and contort in the presence of the viewer. At every turn something dark and fantastic waits in the shadows.
Animal Logic’s collaboration with award-winning director Noam Murro and Biscuit Filmworks continued in a multi-faceted marketing campaign for broadcast giant HBO. Created by BBDO New York as a follow up to 2007 ‘Voyeur’ campaign HBO’s brand campaign titled ‘Imagine’ featured a mix of online, outdoor, television and digital elements.
