The $2 million Australian-Canadian feature film Arctic Blast, directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, was shot in just 18 days in Tasmania. Screen Producers Association of Australia president and filmmaker Antony I. Ginnane also served as executive producer on the project.
The film centres on a solar eclipse which sends a colossal blast of super chilled air towards the earth, setting off a catastrophic chain of events that threatens to engulf the world in ice and begin a new Ice Age.
