BO Report: The Legend of Tarzan falls short of Finding Dory

Finding Dory has enjoyed a fourth week on top of the Australian box office, bringing in $5 million over the weekend; a fall of only 10 per cent. The Finding Nemo sequel has grossed $40.3 million so far.

The Legend of Tarzan, starring Margot Robbie as Jane, swung in behind, making $4.3 million over its opening weekend.

Steven Spielberg's The BFG enjoyed a boost over its second weekend, raking in $3.3 million to finish 23 per cent ahead of its debut.

Rawson Marshall Thurber's Central Intelligence fell 36 per cent in its second week, bringing in $3.1 million. The action comedy is now sitting on a gross of $10.4 million.

Comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, starring Adam DeVine and Zac Efron, debuted on 277 screens this week to $2.5 million.

Ice Age: Collision Course also saw higher figures in its second week, bringing in 2.2 million over the weekend – up 34 per cent.

Independence Day: Resurgence fell 50 per cent in its third week, making $1 million over the weekend. The disaster film, led by Liam Hemsworth, has grossed $10.6 million overall.

Now in its fourth week, Me Before You fell 40 per cent to bring its total cume to $10.8 million.

Wrestling drama Sultan, starring Salman Kahn, debuted on $638,835 on only 28 screens.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople finished 9 per cent up on last weekend, fetching $617,425. The New Zealand film rounds out the top ten, now sitting on a gross of $8.5 million after seven weeks.

Ivan Sen's Goldstone debuted in 13th place, making $177,457 over the weekend on 41 screens.
