In addition to Los Angeles, the film's New York City premiere will take place May 1 at The Center, co-Presented by NEWFEST.
The Australian premiere season begins in Melbourne on May 5 with the sold out Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (HRAFF) opening night.
The Jungle Book debuted at 287 locations last week and easily won the weekend, ringing up around $6 million from Thursday to Sunday to bring its total takings so far to $10.5 million.
