Australia’s favourite youth channel, Channel [V] launches a new brand direction for 2015 today. The new Channel [V] is about music and all things addictive. It gives AAA access to the artists the audience love with exclusive interviews, music news and unparalleled festival coverage.
Also Channel [V] will serve up live shows that go anywhere, anytime plus a whole bunch of new ‘music lifestyle’ content.
It all starts today with a hot new look on air and the annoucement of three fresh new faces joining the Channel [V] crew, who are killing it in their respective fields – The Used frontman Bert McCracken, international model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik (Tyson O’Brien). These new presenters bring their unique experience and expertise to the wide range of youth subcultures represented across the channel. Together with Danny Clayton, Carissa Walford and Marty Smiley, the new line-up has different facets of youth culture covered, keeping the Channel [V] audience across everything they need to know and the places they need to be.
Rebecca Batties, Foxtel General Manager for Music and Head of Digital said, “At Channel [V] we are still very much about the music, however with this new direction we are tuning in to the needs of our youth audience and expanding programming to reflect and embrace their lives. The new Channel [V] takes our audience into a world of limitless options as we throw ourselves into the big passions that make youth tick, inspiring them to live a life to remember.
“In the coming months we are rolling out content the audience have told us they love. We are calling it ‘music lifestyle’. Both on-air and online, it covers everything from travel to fashion to different music genres. So stay tuned. The new talent join Danny, Carissa and Marty to each reflect the interests, ambitions and energy of our youth audience – which is music and so much more.”
Catch our new look and celebrate with us on ground at Australia’s hottest festivals as we partner in the next month with the biggest youth music events on the Australian calendar including the Australian Open of Surfing this weekend, Future Music Festival and Soundwave.
