MIFF XR Commission – Applications
A philanthropic grant of $80,000 from artist and filmmaker Ling Ang will go towards the creation of an immersive XR work that “celebrates, interrogates, and illuminates” Melbourne, as well as Melbourne International Film Festival’s role in the city’s cultural sector. The XR Commission will premiere on the MIFF XR platform in 2022.
Denis Villeneuve Retrospective

This includes Villeneuve’s earliest films August 32nd on Earth, Maelström, and Polytechnique (accompanied by his short film Next Floor), his Academy Award-nominated breakthrough Incendies, and his critically acclaimed films of recent years - Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario, Arrival, and Blade Runner 2049.
