Press release from Well Above
At NAB 2010 JVC Professional will be highlighting its complete line of HD cameras, monitors, switchers and equipment specific to the broadcast and professional industry, along with high resolution, super contrast D-ILA projectors.
High on the interest list for visitors will be JVC’s 46-inch 3D LCD screen, the GD-463D10, is only 39mm thick and uses JVC’s unique high-quality 3D visual engine to deliver a natural, flicker-free visual experience. The GD-463D10 provides flicker-free 3D images by adopting the Xpol® polarizing filter method and battery-free passive-type circular polarizing filter glasses. Video input is compatible with industry standard line-by-line and side-by-side 3D formats.
Sticking with the 3D theme JVC’s new IF-2D3D1 Stereoscopic Image Processor will also feature heavily. The IF-2D3D1 which works as a 2D-to-3D converter and as a 3D L/R mixer for video content producers, is housed in a rugged, 1RU metal cabinet and compatible with a wide range of HD formats. The IF-2D3D1 is designed to help 3D content producers improve their workflow, whether they are converting archived 2D material or shooting original content in 3D.
Also on display and making a big impact on the broadcast industry is JVC’s new range of super-thin 32-inch LCD displays. This next generation Super Thin LCD technology integrates a new optical system and modular LCD construction making it the company’s thinnest and lightest LCD television display at just 7mm thick and weighing just 5kg.
JVC recently expanded its DT-V series of HD multi-format LCD monitors with two new models, the DT-V17G1 and DT-V24G1 both of which will feature at NAB 2010. The displays, which are ideal for critical OB and studio applications and are widely used throughout the post and broadcast industries, feature a superimposed waveform monitor and improved latency of less than one frame. The new models are 3G and dual-link ready.
JVC Professional solid-state camcorders have been a great success and will headline the famous camera demonstration this year. Both the compact shoulder GY-HM700E and compact hand-held GY-HM100E 3-CCD camcorders will be on display and demonstrating their ability to record 35Mbps high definition video and uncompressed audio directly to inexpensive SDHC media cards in the native Quicktime format used by Apple Final Cut Pro™. Alongside the GY-HM700E and GY-HM100E cameras will be the rest of the ProHD range including the highly acclaimed GY-HD251E dual role studio & ENG / EFP camcorder with optional studio adapter, offering HD SDI / SDI and 26 pin multi-core connectivity.
