Press release from LFF
The Sydney Lebanese Film Festival (LFF) has proudly welcomed its first international partner, the Outbox International Short Film Festival (OSFF) in Beirut.
The partnership aims to expand the opportunities available to Lebanese filmmakers and encourage Australian short filmmakers to showcase their work in Lebanon.
“For the LFF, this partnership with OSFF will enhance our networks with Lebanese Filmmakers, and provide them with the opportunity to distribute and gain exposure of their films in Australia”, says LFF Director, Camille Lattouf.
The venture also provides a direct gateway between Sydney and Beirut, allowing for regular communication and exchange between the two organisations.
Both the LFF and OSFF are committed to supporting the Lebanese film industry and providing mechanisms to support Lebanese filmmakers. This partnership will strengthen the opportunity for both organisations to achieve these goals.
“It is both a pleasure and an honour for [the OSFF], Beirut, to work with the LFF, Sydney and to contribute, by the same token, to the growing visibility of the talents our country is offering to the world of cinema”, says Sonia Hadchiti, Organiser and Founder of the OSFF.
The two organisations will be working together over the next year to support upcoming filmmakers in Lebanon.
