Australian thriller Swerve has secured distribution in America and the United Kingdom.
British film sales company Moviehouse Entertainment announced at the Berlin Film Festival's European Film Market on Wednesday that the feature had been sold to the Cohen Media Group for North America and High Fliers for the UK.
Independent distributor Jump Street Films will release the film locally in June, in conjunction with production company Duo Art Entertainment. The film will be released simultaneously in both Australia and the US.
Swerve, which has also sold in the Middle East, Italy and Germany, is written and directed by Craig Lahiff. Described as Australian noir, the film follows Colin (Jason Clarke), who finds a briefcase full of money at the scene of a fatal accident. After turning it into the local cop, Colin finds himself at the centre of series of fateful events.
The film's cast also includes Emma Booth, Roy Billing and Vince Colosimo.
Swerve premiered at last year's Melbourne International Film Festival and will open the Australian Film Festival in March.
