Australia has a new International Sales Agent, Odin’s Eye Entertainment (OEE). Established by Michael Favelle, formerly of Arclight Films, OEE will be making its major market debut at the American Film Market starting next week.
OEE will handle six to eight projects a year with a focus on independent, genre driven features in the $1m to $15m range.
OEE will be a quality supplier of commercial product for the international marketplace; the initial slate offers half a dozen films from Australia and the USA ready for immediate sale, several projects in the final stages of development and a handful of library titles.
Favelle states, ‘I am excited about the current renewal and growth of the Australia production and distribution sector. Because of the recent tax changes, the timing for us could not be better.’ Favelle adds ‘We have been operating quietly over the last several months, building a competitive and diverse slate of projects. I’m very pleased with the progress that has been made and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with buyers and international producers at the AFM; I’m confident they will be impressed
with our progress’.
OEE is currently locking down its strategic partnerships with producers in Australia and abroad with the intention to move into production with a number of high concept features that are currently in joint development.
