Director Richard Gray is set to begin filming his fourth feature film, The Lookalike, in November with actor Justin Long.
The US thriller/crime comedy is being produced through Gray's Yellow Brick Films production company and will shoot in New Orleans and the Bahamas.
Long, who has appeared in films such as He's Just Not That Into You and Live Free or Die Hard, plays Holt – one of four leads. The other three actors will be announced shortly, with the shoot scheduled for November 26 – January 15.
Gray said The Lookalike, which was written by his wife Michele, was reminiscent of films such as True Romance and Get Shorty. The film follows Bobby and Frank who set out to find a lookalike for Sadie, whose death has jeopardised a major deal. The crazy search propels an ex-basketball champion, a gossip writer, a coke addict, and a deaf beauty into unlikely romance and a desperate quest to seal the deal.
Gray made his feature film debut in 2010 with Australian romantic drama Summer Coda. He followed that with thriller Mine Games and Australian Rules football drama Blinder, which will be released shortly.
