After ten and a half years as CEO of the NZ Film Commission, Dr. Ruth Harley moved across the Tasman to helm Screen Australia, having commenced office on November 15, 2008.
Here, Dr. Harley speaks to NZ On Screen in retrospect of her career move as an academic into management in the New Zealand film and television industry, as well as her expectations for the Australian industry.
