eOne has promoted Troy Lum to a newly-created role, executive vice president of international productions, while Sandie Don will step up to be managing director Australia/New Zealand.
Previously MD, film, Asia Pacific, Lum will now be responsible for sourcing content and facilitating production in all territories outside of North America. Reporting to EVP production and acquisitions, film, Lara Thompson, his role will involve building a stable of local producer relationships in each territory, whom he will support and actively develop projects with.
Lum will also continue to produce films under his Hopscotch Features banner, all of which are financed and distributed by eOne.
The executive is currently in production on the Roache-Turner brothers’ Nekromancer in Sydney, starring Monica Bellucci, and is developing a Lee Miller biopic with Kate Winslet.
In her new role, Don, previously head of distribution, will manage eOne’s operations across ANZ. She will report to Alex Hamilton, co-president, international, film.
