Sizable audience for Fat Tony & Co

The Nine Network’s crime drama Fat Tony & Co. easily won its timeslot on Sunday night.

The premiere of the Screentime-produced series starring Robert Mammone as the infamous criminal Tony Mokbel drew 1.379 million viewers in the five capital cities. Adding the regional audience of 443,263, the first episode had a national average of 1.834 million, peaking at 2.06 million.

The second episode was watched by 1.236 million in the capitals/1.6 million. The nine-part series features other original members of the Underbelly franchise including Vince Colosimo as Alphonse Gangitano, Gyton Grantley as Carl Williams, Les Hill as Jason Moran, Madeleine West as Danielle McGuire, Simon Westaway as Mick Gatto, Gerard Kennedy as Graham Kinniburgh, and Kevin Harrington as Lewis Moran

The premiere of season four of Seven’s Downton Abbey pulled 1.125 million (down 206,000 on the launch of season three last year) in the capitals, 1.74 million nationally, and ABC’s Rake had 617,000.

The debut of Matchbox Pictures’ Real Housewives of Melbourne on Foxtel’s Arena had a five-city audience of 107,000.

The night’s top rating show was Seven’s Sunday Night with 1.9 million/2.8 million. Seven's My Kitchen Rules attracted 1.73 million/2.55 million, maintaining its healthy lead over Nine'sThe Block: Fans Vs Faves which had 1.327 million in the capitals/1.823 million.

Seven reported that part 2 of Shine Australia's INXS Never Tear Us Apart  added 316,000 viewers on recorded viewing over the past seven days and delivered a total audience of 2.081 million in the five major markets.

Ten’s primary channel share sunk to a low of 6.4%,  its lowest ever share since the introduction of OzTAM in 2001.
