SPAA Fringe delivers inspirational program at Sydney Conference

The SPAA Fringe conference held in Sydney last week was a huge success with around 400 delegates energised and excited by the program content, said Tania Chambers, Chief Executive of the New South Wales Film and Television Office (FTO).

In congratulating the Conference organisers, Ms Chambers noted that as well as a record attendance, she was particularly pleased that some 90% of the Conference sessions will be available today on-line at the SPAA Fringe website.

SPAA Fringe returned to Sydney this year after several years interstate as the result of a new arrangement between the FTO and SPAA Fringe, including a $40,000 grant.

‘The FTO is very keen to ensure that regional practitioners have access to as many of our programs as possible, as well as those people unable to attend a Conference or course, so I am particularly pleased that so much of the Conference material is available on-line,’ Ms Chambers says.

‘The Conference itself was truly inspiring. The sessions were extremely informative and chock full of new ideas, while the delegates seemed to make excellent use of the new networking and roundtable opportunities.’

SPAA Fringe organiser Gaylee Butler said her promise for the Conference was ‘ideas, information and inspiration’. The program, she says, completed delivered.

Ms Butler thanked Viocorp for making Conference sessions available via streaming at http://www.spaa.org.au/fringe. The sessions were recorded by MetroScreen and Skills1 as part of its multi-cam course.
