A constellation of stars and celebrities will be in attendance at the L’Oréal Paris 2007 AFI Awards on 5th & 6th December, with Cate Blanchett, Anthony LaPaglia, Alan Dale, Joan Chen and Sophie Monk all confirmed to descend upon Melbourne for the Australian screen industry’s most prestigious night of nights.
Producers are also pulling out all stops to bring Eric Bana home to Melbourne to play a major role in the L’Oréal Paris 2007 AFI Awards, where he is nominated for Best Lead Actor. Eric is currently deep in production on his latest film The Time Traveller’s Wife in Toronto.
To be held over two enchanting evenings at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the L’Oréal Paris 2007 AFI Awards will be broadcast nationally on the Nine Network at 9.30pm on Thursday 6 December and will be hosted by Academy Award winner and Australian film icon, Geoffrey Rush.
Confirmed presenters over the two nights of the illustrious Awards celebrations include Cate Blanchett, Anthony LaPaglia, Alan Dale, Sophie Monk, Sibylla Budd, Brendan Cowell, Emma Booth, Alex Dimitriades, Joel Edgerton, Gia Carides and last year’s Best Actress winner Emily Barclay – the face of this year’s inspired theme, ‘Hollywood Comes Home’.
Performances on the night will include superstar songstress Delta Goodrem and the glittering cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Musical.
Viewers can also expect a stellar gathering of homegrown stars to grace the red carpet, with confirmed attendees expected to include:
