A script nearly seven years in the making about an enduring friendship steeped in multicultural Australia has taken the next steps toward production after receiving development support from Screen Australia's Generate Fund.
Nearly 30 projects will share in $975,000 of story development funding from Screen Australia, including a television series inspired by the 1999 film 'Two Hands' from director Gregor Jordan, and a family feature film from the producers of 'Bluey'.
Producers Yolandi Franken and Michela Carattini have received further support for buddy comedy 'Carmen & Bolude', which has been selected for the Ontario Creates International Financing Forum 2021 (IFF) at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Sydney will feature as itself while also doubling as New York and Nigeria as production on buddy comedy 'Carmen and Bolude' gets underway in October.
