The Casting Guild of Australia has announced its Rising Stars for 2022, highlighting ten actors with the potential to break out on the world stage.
Eliza Scanlen, Evan Rachel Wood, Vanessa Redgrave and Rufus Sewell are attached to star in Kate Dennis' debut feature 'All That I Am', an adaptation of Anna Funder's Miles Franklin-winning novel.
The ABC and Tony Ayres Productions' (TAP) anthology drama 'Fires' is underway in Victoria, with a stellar cast that boasts Eliza Scanlen, Sam Worthington, Richard Roxburgh, Sullivan Stapleton, Miranda Otto, Hunter Page-Lochard, Anna Torv, Kate Box, Helana Sawires, Daniel Henshall, and Noni Hazlehurst.
Bittersweet comedy 'Babyteeth' has swept this year's AACTA Awards, picking up seven prizes at Monday's ceremony including Best Film and Best Direction for debut filmmaker Shannon Murphy.

Alex White and Jan Chapman went to see Rita Kalnejais’ hit play 'Babyteeth' at Sydney’s Belvoir St Theatre on the same night back in 2012. By interval, the two had made a beeline to each other: they knew it had to be adapted for screen.
