A host of Australian talent has descended on Winton, Queensland, as production for the contemporary Western thriller Goldstone commences.
Prolific and multi award-winning Hong Kong-based actress Cheng Pei-pei has joined the cast of Ivan Sen’s outback noir thriller Goldstone now shooting in Queensland.
Goldstone is the fourth feature by Ivan Sen and stars Aaron Pederson, reprising his role of the troubled Indigenous detective Jay Swan, first seen in Sen’s Mystery Road, which opened SFF in 2013.
Moodley saw the film almost seven weeks ago, in early March, just after Sen had finished it.
Goldstone has been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival's Platform sidebar.
Warwick Thornton, Leah Purcell, Ivan Sen, Steven McGregor, Erica Glynn, Danielle Maclean and Bain Stewart will travel to Los Angeles next month for high-level networking.
Former Create NSW director of screen investment, engagement and attraction Sophia Zachariou will join Bunya Productions as CEO, a newly-created role, in January.
Half-way through shooting Seth Larney’s '2067' in Adelaide, Ryan Kwanten is convinced the sci-fi mystery thriller will have a lasting impact on moviegoers.
