Oscar nominated filmmaker Anthony Lucas is on the road to Cannes again, after the short film he made with his two children in his backyard was accepted into the festival.
The AFI-nominated short film Jerrycan by director Julius Avery is set to screen in numerous festivals in the next two months.
AFI award winning short film 'Jerrycan' has been selected in competition for the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.
The 2009 Sundance Film Festival will feature six Australian screen productions including four shorts and an installation piece. The festival opens January 15 with the previously announced Australian feature, Mary and Max.
Mary and Max will screen alongside five Australian shorts at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival in February.
Julius Avery's short film Jerrycan was awarded an Honourable Mention at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
Four Australian films are screening as part of the 38th International Film Festival Rotterdam which began on Wednesday January 21.
