SBS today launched a beta version of its catch-up service SBS on Demand on the latest model smart TVs to capitalise on the surge of viewers for the FIFA World Cup.
From 1st October the SBS ON DEMAND movies catalogue will expand to offer over 400 titles that are free for all Australians to enjoy whenever they want, wherever they are and on a device of their choosing.
In an Australian first for a free-to-air broadcaster, SBS is offering Australian audiences the opportunity to watch over 100 films for free through SBS ON DEMAND this March.
The semi-autobiographical series about two 20-somethings is written and created by Michelle Law and Chloë Reeson.
Screen Australia and SBS have selected three short-form series from the 2019 Digital Originals initiative - 'A Beginner’s Guide to Grief', 'Freewheelers' and 'Iggy & Ace 5eva' - to further develop, with the intention of at least one going into production for SBS On Demand.
