Porchlight Films' 'Operation Buffalo', an espionage thriller set during the British nuclear tests in outback South Australia in the 1950s, will have its world premiere at Series Mania in France next month.
The organisers of MIPTV have cancelled the market that was due to be held in Cannes from March 30-April 2 and allied events including Canneseries, Mip Formats and Mip Doc.
After cancelling the Series Mania international TV festival in northern France the organisers are launching an online platform for buyers to showcase some shows that would have screened there, including Operation Buffalo, The Secrets She Keeps and The Commons.
With France in virtual lockdown, the Cannes Film Festival has been postponed from May 12-23 and organisers are now considering dates in late June or early July.
