Tropfest has unveiled the 16 finalists for this year’s festival, which will be held on February 9.
The film follows three adult siblings as they assist their terminally ill mother to commit suicide.
Each of the selected films has been made by a filmmaker less than 15 years old. Among them is Darwin Schulze, who has now been a Trop Jr finalist four times.
As little monsters around Australia prepare their films for Trop Jr, it's been announced that the entry deadline has been extended by one week - with the new entry deadline at 6pm on 17 October, 2013.
The first ever Trop Jr Roughcut Melbourne will feature Dance Academy's Dena Kaplan and Alicia Banit.
Ben McCarthy, a 12 year old from NSW, won Trop Jr with his claymation. Next year's signature item is to be "Monster".
