The New Life wins Best Horror Short at the Illinois International Film Festival

Director Daniel Giambruno’s latest short The New Life has won the Best Horror Short award at the 2007 Illinois International Film Festival (USA).
Triggered by Dante Alighieri’s Vita Nova, albeit not an adaptation, The New Life shows how a man’s ideal world crumbles as he discovers that his life is nothing but a fantasy conjured by the darkest of beings.
The New Life is an atmospheric supernatural tale of demonic possession and it features actors Salvatore Coco and Kaja Trøa in the lead roles. Completed towards the end of last year, the film’s accolades also include the Jury’s Prize at the Cryptshow Film Festival in Spain, a Jury’s Special Mention at the Fano Int’l Film Festival in Italy, a Gold Remi at WorldFest Houston, and the Scream Queen Award for actress Kaja Trøa, won at A Night Of Horror last March in Sydney.
