the WotWots set for touchdown at Sydney Easter Show

SpottyWot and DottyWot from the internationally successful children’s animation series the WotWots, are set to land in their steam-powered spaceship for their next adventure at this year’s 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

the WotWots will take part in a very special ABC Kids Concert line-up and appear twice a day between Friday April 22 and Tuesday April 26 at 10.50am and 12.20pm.

You can catch the energetic, colourful and entertaining duo performing live at the ABC Showcase, at the Overflow Park, corner of Showground Road and Grand Parade, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

the WotWots is proving to be a children’s sensation here in Australia and is currently airing on ABC For Kids on 2 at 11.25am weekdays and at 6.35am on the weekends. The delightful 52 x 10 minute series is broadcast in 32 territories including Canada, Korea, the Middle East, Poland and the United States of America.

the WotWots follows the adventures of two adorable siblings from outer space, SpottyWot and DottyWot. These delightful creatures come to explore planet earth in their steam-powered spaceship and arrive in the middle of a zoo. The series was filmed in Australia and New Zealand with all the adventures built on one central ingredient which defines the series – the joy of learning and discovery.

the WotWots is produced by Pukeko Pictures and made at Richard Taylor’s Weta Workshop. Pukeko Pictures is a new business partnership between Academy Award winner Richard Taylor the co-founder and creative lead of Weta Workshop (Lord of the Rings, King Kong), and internationally acclaimed author and children’s television creator, Martin Baynton. Taylor and Baynton previously teamed up to create the award winning children’s program, Jane and the Dragon.
