In the mid-2010s, Guy Edmonds was working with longtime creative partner Matt Zeremes on an adult comedy series about an alien janitor who saves the world.
While the pair were penning the project, titled Life is Ship, they found out about Future Man, a US series produced by Seth Rogen about a janitor/gamer who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time to prevent the extinction of humanity.
