Words from the City is a feature documentary exploring Australian hip hop through intimate and candid observations of some of the nation’s most potent and compelling MCs.
Producer Philippa Campey and Directors Natasha Gadd & Rhys Graham said, ‘It’s a real honour for our film to be nominated in all of the documentary categories. To be amongst such a great selection of documentaries this year is very inspiring. Thanks to the AFI and its members’.
The filmmakers would like to acknowledge and thank each of the contributing artists, the crew and the AFC, Film Victoria, Adelaide Film Festival, Madman and the ABC. The Awards will be presented in Melbourne at the Industry Awards Wednesday 5 December and Awards Dinner on Thursday December 6, and will be broadcast nationally on the Nine Network at 9.30pm on 6 December.
