JEFF BROWNE APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR OF NINE
PBL Media Chief Executive Officer David Gyngell today announced the appointment of Jeff Browne as Managing Director of the Nine Network Australia.
The new national MD’s role incorporates responsibility for all of the operations of the Nine Network.
In addition, Mr Browne will lead and supervise the imminent relocation of GTV9 together with the wider PBL Media group businesses to new facilities in Bourke Street, Melbourne.
After overseeing and settling that important move, Mr Browne will relocate to Sydney, but continue an ongoing presence in Melbourne each week to pilot the continuing strength of GTV9 and to maintain vital contacts between all PBL Media businesses and key people and organisations in the Melbourne market.
Mr Gyngell said: "Appointing Jeff Browne is just about the simplest and most warranted decision I'll ever make. I've come to know Jeff not only as a terrific operator but as an outstanding television executive. He brings enormous skill and capacity to this new role and I literally could not nominate anyone I would prefer to have guiding this great network right now.
