Production Assistant/ Runner wanted for work on an exciting short film.

Award winning filmmaking team Aquarius Films are making their next short film in December and are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, organised production assistant/ runner to join the team!

Aquarius Films is run by producers Angie Fielder and Polly Staniford. Their last short film, Crossbow written and directed by David Michôd is currently touring the world festival circuit following an international premiere at the Venice film Festival in September. The film has been nominated for an AFI Award and also won the Film Victoria Erwin Rado Award for Best Short film at the Melbourne International Film festival earlier this year. Other screenings include Sydney, Brisbane, Milan, Bilbao and Prague film festivals.

Their next project, Netherland Dwarf, also written and to be directed by David Michôd will be shot in Sydney in mid-December. We’re looking for a keen, passionate, committed production assistant to help in the week leading up to the shoot and on set – a total of 2 weeks.

A driver’s license and your own car is essential.

The role is unpaid but you will be reimbursed for your expenses (ie. Petrol, phone calls and parking), there will be great catering on set and you will be working with some great industry people, such as award-winning cinematographer Greig Fraser. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to break into the industry and get some hands on experience.
