Daniel Giambruno’s award-winning horror short The New Life has been invited to compete at Fantasporto 2008, the Oporto International Film Festival in Portugal that starts on February 25th.
This event is one of the biggest genre film festivals in the world. This year Fantasporto will receive the Coen Brothers, Stephen King, Frank Darabont and Max Von Sydow among other celebrities.
The New Life will be competing with shorts by the likes of Lars Van Trier, which is a clear indication of the high level of
the program. It also seems to be the only Australian film in the entire line-up.
The New Life is an atmospheric story of demonic possession; it features actors Salvatore Coco and Kaja Tr.
