Michael Stringer McIntyre, the director of AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD travels to Cannes this week looking for international interest in the company’s new Australian film.
Michael and his company Second Nature Films are presenting documentaries for the second year in a row in Cannes following their international award winning success story Yogawoman.
AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD is narrated by award winning actor David Wenham and the film is being distributed by the innovative Australian distribution company INDIEVILLAGE.
Filmed in 20 countries, AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD is a sports travel film with huge appeal to all footy fans, sports fans and sporting families who want to catch a glimpse of the beginning of a remarkable revolution as Australian football goes international.
The film features football legends including Brett Kirk, the AFL’s International Ambassador and the former co-captain of the Sydney Swans; Adam Goodes, dual Brownlow medallist and 2014 Australian of the Year, Andrew Demetriou, Mike Sheahan and Martin Flanagan; Eddie McGuire and Majak Daw, an AFL Multicultural ambassador and the league’s first African born player.
AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD opens in cinemas in Australia in July 2014.

He has an extensive background and wealth of expertise as a Producer, Director, DOP and Distributer. He has spent 30 years working in the film industry. In 1997 he Co-founded Second Nature Films and went on to produce and distribute the award winning Yogawoman. He is currently directing AUSSIE RULES the world being released by INDIEVILLAGE in July 2014. Second Nature Films is one of Australia’s leading independent documentary production companies.
