Haywood locked in for Lockout premiere

The organisers of the Sydney Seniors Film Festival have secured Logie and AFI award winning actor Chris Haywood to present at the premiere of new Australian documentary Lockout, this coming Saturday at the Ritz Cinema in Randwick.

Chris Haywood’s credits includes Shine, Muriel’s Wedding, Jindabyne, The Man From Snowy River, Razorback, Breaker Morant and Newsfront.

Lockout revisits the historic and violent coalminer’s strike of 1929 which redefined our country’s industrial and political landscape. Haywood narrates the story about the men and women who fought for what they believed in – a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with actor Chris Haywood, director Jason van Genderen, cinematographer and editor Gavin Banks, composer John Roy and producer Greg Hall.
