Australian film, Rats and Cats, directed by Tony Rogers, co-written and starring long-time collaborators Adam Zwar and Jason Gann (Wilfred, The Wedge) will be released in cinemas on 15 May 2008.
Rats and Cats tells the story of actor Darren McWarren (Jason Gann), who after a quick rise to stardom in soap operas, mini-series’ and films, then destroyed his career with a series of indiscretions. After turning his back on the industry and moving to a small coastal town, he can now behave as he wants and without fear of retribution. The local girls are willing and McWarren is soon living the life of a modern day Errol Flynn.
But when city journalist Ben Baxter (Adam Zwar) decides to write a “Where Are They Now” profile on McWarren – everything changes. Ben’s probing questions unearth a tenderness in McWarren that no-one had ever seen – a desire for love, family and to be led down a more righteous path.
